Zomato is a restaurant search and discovery app, which provides in-depth information for over 1 million restaurants across 23 countries. Zomato gets over 90 million sessions a month globally from users who want to search, discover, rate, and review restaurants, as well as to create their own personal networks of foodies for trusted recommendations.
Headquartered in Delhi NCR, Zomato was founded in 2008 and has raised ~USD 225 million in funding from Info Edge Limited, Sequoia Capital, VY Capital, and Temasek Holdings till date.
Zomato was launched in Indonesia in November 2013, and has since been the go-to restaurant search and discovery app for the locals here. We’re looking for a Marketing Associate to be the face of Zomato, and be responsible for driving branding, PR and user growth for us in Jakarta.
What you will do as the Marketing and PR Associate for Zomato Jakarta:
The role of a Marketing and PR Associate is quite varied. It’s about organising and coordinating multiple marketing activities to help grow Zomato’s user base, and brand recall in the local market while helping the business achieve sales results.
As the Marketing and PR Associate, you will:
Keep your finger on the pulse of the current food, social, and cultural trends and events in your city, and look for opportunities to weave Zomato’s brand presence into them.
Help build Zomato’s brand locally through various on ground activations, including but not limited to – stickering drives, on site brand activations at local malls and relevant events etc.
Attending and covering events Zomato partners with, hosts or participates in, both offline and online – business conferences, events, or even campus placement talks, for example.
Help grow Zomato’s user base and brand presence by ensuring Zomato has multiple marketing touch points including but not limited to BTL at restaurants and widgets on their digital presence
Develop content, story pitches, press releases and reach out to relevant local media to drive relevant press coverage for Zomato
You should have:
2 – 5 years of work experience, of which at least 2 years have been spent in Marketing and PR related roles
Hands-on experience in on ground marketing initiatives
Worked in Jakarta for the past 2 years, at least
The ability to strike a balance between creative ideation and hands on execution
Strong work ethic, the willingness to get your hands dirty, and get stuff done
Excellent written and spoken communication skills, in Bahasa Indonesia and English
Experience working for a consumer-tech startup
One year, full time contract.
