Job Description

Position Overview:

The Marketing Manager will be the Category owner in the Region and as such will act with an entrepreneur spirit to maximize the category business. That includes:

  • Understanding of local consumers and competitors with the support of K&I to ensure the growth strategy and plans maximize the TCCC category business
  • Provide key input for the development of the BU Category Growth Strategy and Innovation Pipeline, and support in developing the regional aligned version that incorporates the local nuances in order to maximize growth
  • Work in key ASEAN shared projects from Shared Bets for communication platforms to strategy projects and be an active member of the Category community
  • Lead the Category marketing plan & calendar maximizing quality and excellence in execution and working with K&I on the validation process
  • Leverage BU Shared platforms in the activation plan and lead in partnership with the IMC team locally relevant initiatives that talk to local consumers
  • Influence the cross-functional teams to ensure excellence in end-to-end execution with close coordination with K&I, IMC, Commercial, PAC, Technical, Finance, Legal and the Bottlers.
  • Lead Category innovation initiatives following Innovation processes and with a focus on excellence in execution
  • Ensuring productive and effective use of System marketing investment, with good understanding of System P&L impact providing input in BPPC decisions.
  • Key to this role will be the ability to combine functional expertise with a strong entrepreneurial spirit, a relentless focus on results and a great ability to create cross-functional integration with a very high sense of flexibility and understand cultural differences.

    KEY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES :

    1. Understanding of local consumers & competitors

    2. Input to Category Growth Strategy & Innovation Pipeline

    3. Lead Marketing Plan, Calendar and DMI management

    4. Work in the development teams of the ASEAN Shared Bets

    5. Lead and Brief local communication plans

    6. Lead implementation of Innovation

    7. Lead excellence in execution through cross-functionally aligned plans

    • RMM & Bottler Managers
    • BU Marketing LT
    • IMC & Regional Functional Teams

    • Business issues – Understand local consumers’ perceptions, attitudes and behaviours, as well as competitive and external context that influence consumption to build competitive advantage through DMI choices and execution
    • People issues – Influence cross-functional teams and cross-regional teams
    • Region challenges – Maximize the focus on end-to-end excellence in execution with close coordination across functions

    :

    Provide input in local version of SBP and lead category ABP

    INNOVATION:

    • Implement and execute Global pilots supporting mid-long term pipeline
    • Drive local Tier 1 innovation execution

    Required Experience

    • 9-12 years of experience in Marketing – including strategic and operational marketing – in FMCG companies


    EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
    :

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Economics, Marketing or Social Sciences
    • MBA preferred


    CULTURAL DIVERSITY:

    • Bi-lingual: English, ideally any other language of the ASEAN or APAC region
    • Previous experience working in multi-cultural environment
    • Ideally Asia origin

    • Location: Region lead office
